1964 Mercury Comet Caliente K code

History: The 1964 Comets grew in size and became more square. Mercury introduced three new packages but with the same bodystyle and drivetrains. The packages were the Comet Caliente, Comet 202, and Comet 404. The Cyclone continued to be the sportiest of the package offerings. The Caliente was also a sports car option. The 202 version was an economical version while the 404 filled the gap between the offerings.

Equipped with a 289ci 4 barrel V-8 engine and c4 automatic transmission. Features include power steering, new suede interior, hump hugger console and new front seat belts. All new tinted glass, weather stripping and fuzzies. Exterior was painted in 2001. No rust, no panels cut out and patched. Exterior trim is in very good condition, it has been polished or rechromed. Engine, transmission, rear end and front suspention has been rebuilt. It has new tinted glass, weatherstripping, seals and upholstery. Everything works and would make an excellent show car.
