1970 Chevelle SS Clone

History: In 1970 GM dropped the displacement rule, and that was when the bigger engines came out, resulting the addition of an SS 454 line to the existing SS 396 series. The first change was that the 396 engine was bored out to 402 in³ , but the car kept the 396 badging, as so much advertising had been put into the 396 namesake that they didn't want to change it. Most notable was the 454 in³ LS5 V8 rated at 360 hp and the LS6 at 450 hp. It was the 454 that made the Chevelle a legend. The LS6, with 450 hp and 500 ft·lbf of torque, would rocket the Chevelle through the 1/4 mile in low to mid-13 second times at 105 to 108 mph.

This car is a true street machine. This car was built to be a feature car at the AJC International Auto Show 2006. This beautiful car is finished in Duponts Firecracker red with black stripes. The car has red interior with a black vinyl top. The wheels are Boyd Coddington Smoothies with wildwood 4 wheel disc brakes. The 396 is freshly built with approx 330 hp the power is put to the road through a curry 9" rear and through a new 700R4 Transmission. Has all new Magna Flow exhaust if that's not the noise your looking for the car has a dvd player with a punch sound system.
